Danni instructs Hatha, Gentle & Restorative Yoga

Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that focuses on asana (physical poses), pranayama (breath), and meditation to align the body and mind. Classes move at a slow to moderate pace allowing students to find a balance between strength and flexibility, resulting in increased awareness and relaxation.

Gentle yoga classes are typically appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported, and relaxing practice.

Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of 5 to 10 minutes for each position, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.

I just recently returned back to Chicago from Costa Rica. I love yoga and everything that has to offer the body, mind, and soul. I'm offering donation-based, give-what-you-can, yoga practices at Harrison Park (closer to Damen) and the lakefront at Adler Planetarium in between there and 12th St beach.

On Saturday mornings I am offering a 75-minute Hatha class at the park next to the Adler Planetarium from 8 - 9:30 am.

On Tuesday and Thursday, I am offering a 60-minute class from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at Harrison Park in the Pilsen neighborhood.

Please bring your yoga mat, maybe a towel or blanket to put under your mat to keep it a little cleaner, your water to drink (it's important to hydrate), and maybe a snack to enjoy if you feel inclined to enjoy conversation with your fellow yogis after the class.
